Music Magazine Evaluation

2. How does your media product represent particular social groups? My product would represent the social group of people who dress/class themselves as being Indie. My whole product is based around an Indie theme so therefore I would like it to draw in an Indie crowd. 3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? Every magazine has to have a publisher well it able to help it sell well. However the publisher must be suitable and know how to sell my genre of magazine. I think for my magazine Jann Wenner would be a great publisher as he is the publisher for rolling stones and that is the magazine I used as inspiration when making my music magazine. 4. Who would be the audience for your media product? The audience for my magazines is teenagers/adults aged 15-25, who enjoy festivals and concerts. However it appeals to an Indie crowd but I think anyone in that age range with similar interests to what my media product has to offer would enjoy it. 5. How did you attract/address your audience? To attract my audience I used headlines that would attract an audience and also put the band “The 1975” on the puff in red to attract their fan base. The by-line are based around events which are taking place in this upcoming magazine is about what happening around the school so therefore it would hopefully intrigue them into reading it further. I have also used bright, bold colours to catch peoples eye and hopefully by it being a Halloween edition it would interest people more. 6. How did you attract/address your audience? I have attracted my audience by using bold by-lines and a puff that makes it stand out a lot. Also my Title is very big and bold and eye catching to anyone who sees it. 7. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt from it in the progression to the full product? Will working on my music magazine I feel I have progressed more in using photo shop and I can see the difference within my music magazine and school magazine. My music magazine is quite simple but effective unlike my school magazine which had a lot happening. I had more planning time for my music magazine and went out to London for one of my photo shoots instead of staying in school.

This my Front cover for my media product and i used inspiration from the Rolling Stones magazines.

DPS Inspriation

I was looking at DPS Inspiration and came across this one based on Nicki Minaj. I like how they have set out the picture and writing and this image of her leaning on the writing.

Meet my model

This is my model which i used for my contents page. She is currently studying for her GCSE's she's taking Maths, English, Double Science, Geography, Drama, Spanish and Classics.

Hair ideas

I took these pictures of a hair idea I had for one of my photo shoots. I curled her hair with a GHD hair straightener. However for my real photoshoot i want to aim to have her hair much more curly and going to use a curling iron.
